Milk and Cheese Herdshare Agreement E-Sign
A herd share is a contractual arrangement between a farmer and an owner of livestock. With Milk Maids Market, you can enjoy the benefits of working with two raw milk farmers: one Amish farm that produces all our cheese and another local small family farm that provides us with raw milk. Our raw milk is packaged in half-gallon mason jars, and we kindly ask that you return the jars washed. This helps us keep our costs down, as the jars represent one of our largest investments. We greatly appreciate your assistance in returning all jars.
A herd share allows shareholders to obtain raw milk and profits from the livestock in proportion to their interest in the herd. In Michigan, herd shares are a requirement for obtaining raw milk and other dairy products.
To purchase dairy products from Milk Maids Market, you must have a valid (non-expired) agreement in place.
Our herd share costs $60.00 per year and expires on the anniversary date of your agreement.
